Nigeria's President-elect Maj Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(retd.), has joined world leaders to commiserate with the families of those who lost their loved ones during the attack on Garissa University College in Kenya last week.
Buhari, in a condolence message personally signed by him on Sunday to the government and people of Kenya, lamented the sorrowful development, noting with concern that terrorism had become a scourge in Africa.
He noted that the attackers would always find an excuse either religion, tribe, and others to take innocent lives.
He said, “These terrorists are a scourge all across Africa and the world, and we must confront them together, using all the tools at our disposal.
“I want to assure the Kenyan President, Uhuru Kenyatta, and all Kenyans of Nigeria’s support and prayers now and in the future.”
