Nigeria's First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan Wednesday, congratulated the First-lady-in-waiting Hajia Aisha Buhari over the victory of her spouse Maj. General Muhammadu Buhari on his victory in the March 28 presidential elction, urging all Nigerian women to support her in her new role as first lady.
In a statement issued by her media assistant, Mr. Ayo Adewuyi, Mrs. Jonathan, while appealing to Nigerian women to support Hajia Buhari, wished her well in her new task.
The statement made available to newsmen noted that: "The First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan (Mama Peace) has congratulated the wife of the President-elect, Hajia Aisha Buhari on the election of her husband, General Muhammadu Buhari.
"The First Lady appeals to the Nigerian women to work with Hajia Aisha Buhari and give her the maximun support to make her succeed in her new assignment. The First Lady (Mama Peace) wishes her well in her new task".
