As the President-elect Major General Muhammadu puts finishing touches to the shape of his team when he assumes office May 29, news have filtered in that the outgoing governor of Lagos State Babatunde Fashola is been tipped as the next minister of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
Others being considered for ministerial positions include, former Petroleum Minister, Tam David-West, World Bank specialist, Kalu Idika Kalu and former president of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Rotimi Akeredolu, Daily Sun reports.
Fashola is reportedly being pegged to fill the position of FCT Minister while Akeredolu is said to be in consideration to be the Minister of Justice.
"It’s the President-elect’s personal wish to return former Nigeria’s oil Minister, David West to the Petroleum Ministry," a source close to the President-elect reportedly told Daily Sun.
Leadership Newspaper publisher, Sam Nda Isaiah, who was also a presidential aspirant on the platform of Buhari’s All Progressives Congress (APC) is reportedly being considered to be Minister of Education.
Former Minister of Sports, Bolaji Abdullahi is also said to be in consideration to join Buhari’s cabinet in his former capacity.
