A last minute make or mar meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and Lawmakers elected under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) on Monday hit the rocks.
The House of Reps members are billed to resume session on Tuesday after they adjourned proceedings three weeks ago following their inability to agree on the appointment of principal officers for the 8th assembly.
Buhari’s meeting with the lawmakers was expected to broker truce between the warring factions but it deadlocked.
But it failed to resolved the crisis that has pitched the supporters of speaker Yakubu Dogara and Rep Femi Gbajabiamila against one another.
