Doris Oseni wife of Prophet Femi Oseni has petitioned a customary court in Ondo for the immediate dissolution of her 12 year old marriage over his infidelity and her inability to co-habit with him. According to the woman, she caught him red handed in sexual act with another woman who is purportedly an evangelist, on the grounds of the church.
In her own words:
"Recently, after several days of abandoning me, I traced my husband to his church in a village not far from Ondo town. On getting there, I met him on the floor of the church office with one of the women in the church. They were having sex."
Mrs Doris further claimed that the problem of adultery stemmed from her inability to bear children for her husband after seven years of marriage
The husband who began recklessly having affairs mostly with members of his church, was reported to his mother on several occasions to no avail, as he still went ahead to father a child outside their union.
The 45-year-old Prophet Oseni implored the court not to dissolve the marriage as he still loved his wife who had been taking care of him virtuously for years.
The court sided with Mrs Doris and dissolved the marriage and ordered her to refund the sum of N2500 which was the payment for her dowry.
