In continuation with his quest to sanitize the petroleum sector, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Dr. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu as the new Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
Kachikwu, a lawyer, hails from Onicha Ugbo in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.
Until his appointment, he was the Executive Vice Chairman of ExxonMobil Africa.
He is expected to take over from Joseph Darwa later on Tuesday.
