In his effort to further strengthen the fight against corruption, president Muhammadu Buhari has sacked embattled chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibrahim Lamorde with immediate effect. He has also appointed Ibrahim Magu as acting head of the commission.
His sack was disclosed to channels Tv by a presidential source.
Lamorde was seen at the Presidential Villa, where he allegedly held a last meeting with the President. No reason has been given for his sack.
